Migrating Polar Bears?

It’s hard to imagine seeing a polar bear migration while living in Montreal but…it does happens in one small town of Churchill, Manitoba. In fact, every year, this quaint little town of only 800 residents experiences more than one thousand bears on their journey for food. Polar bears make their way near Churchill while trekking towards their feeding grounds on the ice covered Hudson Bay. Their primary diet of seals (high protein and fat), allows them to build up the necessary layer of 4.5 inches of fur, hide, and blubber to survive the icy cold winters.  Churchill is a popular place for travelers to visit and experience the migration first hand.
