Celebrate Canadian Holidays While Living In Furnished Apartments In April

While living in furnished apartments in Canada in April, the holidays may be a bit different than the US.  So, if you are traveling from the states and want to observe the April holidays as the Canadians do, here's some information that will help.  By the way, they don't do "April's Fools Day", so never mind about that one.  However, April 6th is National Tartan Day; this honors the many Scots in Canada and their descendants and is a day everyone wears their traditional tartans and colors.  Palm Sunday/April 13th, First Day of Passover/April 15th, and Easter/April 20th are the same dates as in the US.  One that is unique to Canada is St. Georges Day.  This commemorates the life of St. George, a Roman soldier and Christian martyr.  This will be April 21st.   For more information on special days in Canada check out  Timeanddate.com
