Founded in 1934 by a group of devoted music lovers, and
backed by the Québec Government, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) is
one of the major cultural organizations of the city. The OSM has produced
nearly 100 recordings with Decca, EMI, Philips, CBC Records, Analekta, ECM and
Sony as well as on the OSM label, earning 48 national and international awards. They are located at 1600 Rue Saint-Urbain in Montréal.
