Visit 1750's Public Market While Living In Furnished Apartments

If you will be living in furnished apartments in the Montreal area at the end of August 2014, be sure to visit the 18th Century Public Market.  Held on August 23rd and 24th, opening at 10:00 am, this is an enjoyable and possibly educational adventure. Talk with farmers, craftsmen and entertainers out of 1750 and see how they worked, lived and survived.  In Old Montreal at Pointe-a-Calliere this is a one of a kind experience.  Demonstrations, tastings, storytellers, musicians and artisans will amaze you with their skill.  Visit a military regiment, and a native encampment and see how they lived, up close. Children can try on costumes, play games from the era and take part in a parade.
